One of the most important things you can learn in life, is to allow yourself to be you.
That's hard, because sometimes it feels like the whole world is watching and judging you.
But it gives you so much freedom when you dare to be yourself and do the things that fit with your personality. Dare to be different from what the world expects you to be, but only be different in the things that really are you. Don't be different, just to be different.
To me, this is what this quote means. Follow what is right for you and don't care too much about others, because there'll always be someone who thinks you're doing wrong. You can't please everyone!

Eén van de belangrijkste dingen die je kunt leren in het leven, is om jezelf toe te staan jezelf te zijn.
Dat is lastig, want soms voelt het alsof de hele wereld je in de gaten houdt en oordeelt over wat je doet.
Maar het geeft zoveel vrijheid als je jezelf durft te zijn en de dingen durft te doen die bij jouw persoonlijkheid passen. Durf om anders te zijn van wat de wereld van je verwacht, maar wees alleen anders in dingen die echt bij jou horen. Je moet niet zomaar anders gaan doen, omdat je anders wilt zijn.
Dit is wat deze quote voor mij betekent. Volg wat goed is voor jezelf en trek je niet teveel aan van anderen, want er zal altijd wel iemand zijn die vindt dat je iets verkeerd doet. Je kunt nooit ieders advies opvolgen!
